Splatterable certainly does equal funny...hmm, maybe Daniel needs a bigger role in the future...one that requires dropcloths and lots of cleaning solution afterwards...after all, I wouldn't want anyone thinking I was leaving the humans out of things, don't want the HiFDL upset with me...
Don't worry, Stefke, no plans to splatter Daniel for at least the next, ooh...three or four pages. Beyond that, I can make no guarantees, of course, as to
anyone's splatter-potential.
Aido, that sounds
awesome. And makes me want to recommend the "Temaraire" series of books by Naomi Novik to you. They are the Napoleonic Wars, only with dragons. Sounds like your cup of tea.
Mamelakazam, clearly Dolph is a pedantic person who likes stating the obvious and annoying his friends with it. Most people would indeed be able to assume its black humor from its name and illustrations, but Dolph...well, I guess he's a bit of a mooncalf.
As to Vince, well, you have to remember, no matter how wussy he is when it comes to sunlight, he's also a really big fan of annoying people. (Just ask Mandy.) If there's anything that'll get him to crawl out of his hole and brave the rays of the dreaded daystar, it's the chance to drive someone he knows nuts. I think it means he likes you. And by likes, I mean wants to torment gleefully.
Or maybe he's just really eager for those chibivamps! To finish up, I'm afraid that there will definitely
not be two pages a week anytime in the near future. It's actually been harder, so far, to get out the
one page than it was down at school, because less of my time is automatically set aside as drawing-time. I certainly intend to keep up with the updates as they are, though, that's for sure. I'm just trying to do
other stuff, too -- like draw superheroes and suchlike to send off to editors at comic book companies, in hopes of getting an
actual job drawing comics eventually. Which is, you know, fun, but time consuming.
